Garden Delights Collection (Anemone, Ranunculus & Freesia)

Botanical Names: Anemone coronaria, Ranunculus asiaticus and Freesia × hybrida

Position: Full sun to part shade in a sheltered position.

Climate: Suitable for cool, temperate and Mediterranean climates. Tolerates light frost.

Planting Time: Autumn to early winter.

Watering: Water thoroughly after planting. Keep soil evenly moist while plants are actively growing and flowering, but avoid waterlogging. Reduce watering once foliage begins to die back and keep bulbs and corms relatively dry during dormancy.

Flowering Time: Late winter to spring.

Fertilising: Apply a balanced fertiliser or blood and bone when growth appears. Liquid fertiliser during active growth and after flowering will help replenish bulbs and corms for future seasons.

Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil enriched with organic matter. Avoid heavy, waterlogged soils.

Pests: Protect emerging shoots from snails and slugs. Aphids may occasionally affect developing flower stems and buds.

Growing Tips: Soak anemone and ranunculus corms in water for several hours before planting to encourage quicker, more even growth. Plant anemones with the pointed end down and ranunculus with the claws facing down. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering so bulbs and corms can store energy for next season.
